Pumpkins

It's not fall until you force your kids to sit in a pumpkin patch! :)

It finally feels like fall in Texas, and we're all about it!

15 months

My sweet, precious Luke Robert is 15 months old!

Weight:  21 lb. 15 oz.  (38%)
Height:  31.75 in.  (73%)
Head:  19 in.  (87%)

Have I mentioned this is my favorite age?!  Ugh, I can't get over how cute he is.  He is learning so much and has so much personality.  He is definitely a quiet observer type.  But he can be so silly and loves to laugh, especially at Perry. :)  I think he's going to be a sensitive boy.  He gets his feelings hurt so easily!  If he doesn't get something he wants, or someone (Perry) takes something from him, he lets out the biggest pouty lip, frown faced cry you've ever seen.  Other things about Luke at 15 months:

* He's walking now!  He started walking around 13 months.

* He is a climber!  Perry never really was, so this is new territory.  Yesterday, I found him on top of the kitchen table.  And he is always falling and hurting himself.

* He loves balls.  No, like he really loves balls!  He is always walking around the house holding something that resembles a bat and a ball, saying "Ba!".

* In fact, I would consider "ba" (ball) was his first word!  He also says "ba" for bath, "mo" (more), "nana" (snack and banana),  "ah" (hat), and "ma" (milk).  He only says "mamamama" when he is crying or upset, but still doesn't really say "mama" or "dada".  What's that about?!

* He is getting so smart and will follow commands now.  For example, "go put that in the trash can" and "put the toy back in the basket".  It's so fun because you know they're just watching you so closely and learning what to do!  How cool is that!

* He sleeps from about 7:30-7 and takes one nap from about 12-2.  We had to move him to one nap because of Perry's preschool schedule, but he is doing fine with it!  It also makes it easier to get out and do things in the morning.

* He LOVES being outside and will get so upset when we have to come in.

* He loves grapes, bananas, cheese, any carb snack (ha!), pasta, and will tolerate broccoli  and meat pretty well.  He is definitely starting to get pickier!

* He finally loves to look at books.  Some of his favorites include Dear Zoo, Goodnight Little One, Goodnight Houston, and Brown Bear, Brown Bear.

* He is generally a grumpy waker-upper, except when Perry comes in his room with me.  Then he is happy as can be!

*  He looks more like his mama!  This makes me secretly happy since Perry is daddy's mini.

We love and adore you, sweet Lukey!!!

Tiny Dancer & Soccer Girl

Perry Frances started ballet and tap this year, and it's safe to say she LOVES it! :)  This girl mom is totally thrilled!  I felt like it could go one of two ways, but I'm happy to report that my wild child is completely laser-focused in class.  I'm so proud of her for how well she listens, follows directions, and gives it her all!  I mean, what's cuter than a little tiny dancer?!

Perry also started soccer a few weeks ago!  She loves being on the same team Rhett!  She has enjoyed going, but afterwards she mostly just complains about how hot it is.  Ha!  Can you blame her?!  It's been fun, but I'm not totally convinced it's her "thing".  At least she looks super cute doing it :)

I love watching her try new things and shine!

Back to school!

Perry started back at preschool a couple weeks ago!

Here she is at Meet the Teacher.

This girl was so excited to be a Bee!  Her teachers are Ms. Lindsay and Ms. Alayna.  I'm so excited to see how much she learns and grows this year!

And of course, we needed a Bee dress for the Bee class. ;)

Our theme is "another day, another dress" ;)  I had a to document some of her other OOTDs!  This girl loves dresses!  And she loves a good pose ;)

We are ready for a great school year!

Thomas is married!

My baby brother is a married man!!!

It was a wonderful family-filled weekend of celebration, and we are so excited to welcome Rebecca to the family!  I wish I had taken more pictures, but the kids kept us busy and occupied most of the time. ;)

First up were the bridal luncheon and rehearsal/dinner on Friday.  We are so happy our sweet great-aunt Fuffy was able to come!

This  picture about sums up the rehearsal dinner ;)  Kids everywhere, but the setup was perfect for it.  It was so much fun!

Wedding day is here!  The bride was stunning!  Perry was a flower girl, along with Georgia Kate and Savannah.  Reid and Rhett were ring bearers.  My dad performed the ceremony and seriously did an incredible job!!  Everything was perfect!  My sweet friend, Crossley, came to pickup Luke shortly after the reception started so we could be present and enjoy ourselves.  Perry had a BLAST running around and dancing until she hit a wall around 9:15.  I was proud of her for hanging in there!  We had such a fun night celebrating Thomas and Rebecca!

We love you, Thomas and Rebecca PRESTON!

Where did summer go?

Summer has come and gone, and not much blogging happened :)  Here's a quick little recap of some of the summer fun we were up to in June, July, and August that wasn't already blogged about...

I was in my dear friend Amy's wedding!  Amy and I were potluck roommates freshman year :)

We had a great week with John's mom in town!

We went to Typhoon Texas...twice!  Once for our annual birthday outing with Reid and Georgia Kate, and once with the Boudreauxs!

We swam with friends and family!

We went to the bay with my friend Crossley and her kiddos overnight.  So fun!

We had a family morning at the Aquarium and had a blast!

I went to a Happy Hour Live event in Austin with my bestie, Annie!  We made a weekend out of it and had such a fun time together.

We celebrated two wedding showers for my brother and now sister-in-law!

And here are just some random pictures of my kids ;)

Bye, summer!  Bring on the fall!!
