March

The first half of March was lots of fun!

This picture isn't from March, but I just adore it.  It's from the day we came home from Florida a few weeks ago.  Luke fell asleep on me just as our plane landed in Houston, and I carried him as we de-boarded the plane, walked to baggage claim, and rode the bus back to our car.  He never falls asleep on me, ever.  It was a sweet moment for me, even if my arms felt like they were going to fall off. ;)

My dad turned 63!

My brother turned 30!  We celebrated with a joint birthday dinner for dad, me, and Thomas.  It was fun and yummy!

Perry had a petting zoo and rodeo day at school.

Baseball season started, and we were so excited to cheer on Rhett at his first t-ball game!

Swimming season has begun in Houston!

Perry and Georgia Kate (and Luke and I) had a girls sleepover at Mumsie and Popsie's house during spring break!  They had so much fun, and even got to sleep in the same room together. :)

And then......the coronavirus hit.  More on that later.  :(

Disneyworld and Fort Myers vacay!

What a MAGICAL time we had in Florida a few weeks ago!  John's parents both retired in 2019, and they bought a condo in Fort Myers to spend the winter there.  We planned a trip to go see them at the end of February, and then we thought, why not take Perry to Disneyworld for just a day?!  It was the best decision ever!  Orlando is 2.5 hours away from Fort Myers.  We flew to Orlando, and John's parents met us there on Saturday.  John and I took Perry to Magic Kingdom on Sunday while his parents stayed back with Luke.  It was the best day ever!!!

We started the day with breakfast at Cinderella's castle.  We rode It's a Small World, the carousel, had a special makeover at the Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique (soooo cute!), met Ariel, met Belle, rode Under the Sea, rode Dumbo, rode the Teacups twice, met Tinkerbell, and there might be more but I can't remember.  It was just perfect!!

Meanwhile, Luke enjoyed being spoiled by John's parents all day! :)

We drove to Fort Myers on Monday and spent the rest of the week there.  The condo was so spacious and nice, and they had so many fun things planned for us!  We went to a nearby beach one morning, and it was absolutely beautiful.  We went to the Naples Zoo, got ice cream at the orange juice factory twice, went swimming at the community pool several times, and just had a grand ol' time!

It was a really great, fun, rejuvenating getaway for our little family. :)
