2 mini vacays

We were able to sneak away for two quick weekend trips in June.  It was so nice to have a change of scenery given everything that's going on!

First we went to Dripping Springs with my whole family.  It was a great house with an amazing pool, swimming hole, and lots of space to roam outdoors.  Perry experienced a scorpian encounter in the bathroom, yikes.  But we had such a fun trip!!

Next we went to Galveston with our besties, the Boudreauxs.  We had planned this before the pandemic hit and decided to still make it happen.  We went the weekend before Perry's birthday and made it somewhat of a birthday celebration for her.  We had a great time!

So thankful for these memories made together!

Dance Recital 2020 - Parking Lot Edition

We are so proud of our little ballerina!  Perry LOVED her first year of dance so much.  I'm sad we couldn't finish out the year as planned, but her dance studio did a little "parking lot recital" outside for us.  It was so sweet!  Her class had two practices via Zoom (which you can imagine was pretty hilarious and quite unproductive with a group of 3-year-olds ;) and one in-person practice before performing.  It was so cute, and they did great!  They danced to "Chapel of Love" ;)

We already can't wait for next year!

Life lately...

As the world started opening up again in mid-May, we slowly started seeing friends and getting out more.  These are still some strange times!  Life is definitely not back to normal yet, but it feels good to at least see our friends occasionally.  It will be strange to read this back in 10 years and realize we were still mostly homebound, wearing masks when we go into a store, and mostly avoiding people.  What will the history books say about this time?!  Who knows.  Anyway, it's been a while since I blogged!  I am just going to post some cute pictures from the last couple months since there isn't really much to report. ;)
