Perry and Rhett

These two are the BEST of friends!  How cute are they?!  Perry always says "Rhett is my cousin AAAAAND my friend!"

We are so lucky to live down the street and go to the same preschool so they can see each other so often (and for many other reasons)!  Love them so much!!

Halloween

Perry went to preschool on Halloween, and they had nursery rhyme day at school.

We went to my sister's house on Halloween night with all of the family, had pizza, and went trick-or-treating.  Daddy was in Australia for a work trip, but Ahma was in town to fill in.  Perry had a blast running around and trying to keep up with her cousins!  She was so excited!  With a newborn at home, I just didn't give much thought into costumes this year.  Perry said she wanted to be a "purple princess", so that's what she was, and she was thrilled.  Luke was a bear and wore a hand-me-down costume from Reid.

Halloween is starting to get fun now that Perry is old enough to enjoy it! :)

Luke Robert is 3 months

I can't believe our baby boy is three months old!  Three months feels like a big milestone.  I remember LOTS of changes from 3-4 months with Perry, so I'm excited to experience all of it with Luke!

Luke is still sweet as can be and generally has a very chill demeanor.  He is constantly kicking his feet and wiggling!  He loves chewing on his hands and having them by his face.  He loves to "stand" when we hold him and looks SO proud of himself when he does it.  He's a pretty strong little guy, but we're still working on his head control a bit.

Luke has started coo-ing, talking, and smiling a lot more this month!  I love hearing his little squeals.  He still makes us work for the smiles and doesn't hand them out very easily.  He loves playing on his activity mat and sitting in his "lion chair" (not sure what it's actually called).  Most of his entertainment comes from watching his sister play or mommy do chores ;)

He is getting a little more hair, and I think he might be a little blondie like his sister!  He has a sweet little dimple and the cutest little half smile.  I love how his ears kind of stick out, and I love how he buries his face into the bend of my elbow when I'm rocking him to sleep. :)

Until the last few nights, he was up a lot throughout the night.  But now, I can pretty much count on him waking up once around 12:30 (paci will put him back to sleep), once around 2:30 to eat, then his morning wake time varies anywhere from 6-7:30 (I'd like to get a little more consistent with that).  He eats every 3 hours around 7, 10, 1, 4, and 7.  He still won't take a bottle consistently, but we're not giving up trying!  He takes his best naps in the car or when I'm holding him (which can only happen when sissy is at school), so we need to work on real naps in his crib.

Sometimes I just stare at our precious boy in awe of God's wonder...his little nose, his little fingers and toes, his sweet little lips...all of it.  God is amazing to create these perfect miracles!

Here are some other random photos of Luke from the last month...

We love our little guy so, so much!!!

Pumpkins

Fall has finally arrived in Houston!  The weather cooled off this week, and we are loving it!  It's been hot and muggy the last several weeks, but that didn't stop us from enjoying a couple of pumpkin patch visits to kick off the season.

First, we went to MDUMC after church with our friends.

Then, we went to one in old Katy with Mumsie, Britt, and all the cousins.

Love my pumpkins!
