Christmassy things

We have had a wonderful December full of some Christmassy fun!

We hosted a Christmas party with friends!  I didn't get any pictures of the group or yummy food, but here are our cute kids. ;)

This picture made me laugh - all the girls piled in the bathroom watching our girls perform in the tub!

We gave the kids Christmas jammies, an ornament to represent them from the year, and a Christmas book!  Thanks to my sis for the idea. :)

A baby shoe for Luke - It was supposed to be blue, but I didn't feel like messing with exchanging it.

A crayon for Perry, because she started preschool this year, loves school, and we pretty much spend half of our time at home coloring!

We wrapped up a busy fall of travel for John.  I literally could not have survived without my parents!!  Thank you, thank you, thank you for all that you did to help me!

We went to see Christmas lights with the whole family!  We all piled into the back of Chris's truck, and Luke sat inside the truck with Popsie and Mumsie.  We had fun!

We also went to see Christmas lights with the Boudreauxs!  It's become a little tradition of ours, and Perry and Aria always have a ball.

We went to see Santa!  Perry was not a fan and refused to be in the picture without one of us holding her.

We decorated a giant gingerbread man.

We went to Brookwood with the Myers girls - our annual tradition!

Perry had her Christmas program at school!  This was her first school program, and we were so proud. :)  She knew the words and did most of the hand motions!

Perry had pajama day at school!

Otherwise, we've just been playing outside a lot in the nice weather, wearing Christmas outfits, and singing lots of Christmas songs around the house!

We are ready for Christmas!!

Perry lately...

Perry is almost 2.5 years old!  I wanted to document a few things about our best girl to remember her at this challenging, but sweet sweet age!

Perry is so smart, inquisitive, and observant.  She is super active and energetic.  She is a nonstop chatterbox, hilarious, and oh so sweet and loveable!

She has done amazingly well transitioning into her role as big sister!  She really loves baby Luke.  She has her moments, but mostly she adores him!  She will help me get his diapers or paci, and she always says "it's ok, baby Luke" when he's crying.

She loves school!  At her conference, her teachers told me she is very smart for her age, makes them laugh and smile every day, and cannot sit still.  Sounds about right!

Her best friend is Rhett, with Aria a close second.  She is very into girl things vs. boy things.  For example, when we color or play with chalk, she gives me the choices of pink and purple because "those are girl colors and you a girl".

Her imagination is starting to soar!  She is always picking up a random object and saying it looks like something else.  For instance, sometimes her strawberries are cut into half moons, and she'll say "Look! It's like a rainbow!".  She loves to play pretend and dress up.

She is a chatterbox!!  Some of her favorite or funny phrases lately are "I just pretending" (when she's doing something she's not supposed to do), "why?", and "oops, sorry!" (when she drops something or bumps into something).  She is constantly talking and narrating her life.  She makes the most adorable and hilarious facial expressions!

She loves Daniel Tiger, books, and babies/dolls.  She loves music, singing, and dancing.  She loves coloring, stickers, painting, play-doh, and anything crafty that makes a mess. ;)

She is growing up so much right before our eyes, and we couldn't love her more!

Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving week and have SO much to be thankful for this year!

Perry had a special Thanksgiving lunch at school.

The Loddes came down to spend Thanksgiving week with us.  We spent Thanksgiving afternoon/evening at my parents' house enjoying a wonderful meal with family.  I hardly took any pictures. :( As much as we see my family, I hardly ever take pictures with them, so I'm making it a goal to change that!

We decorated for Christmas, and Perry was in love with our snow village!  She kept crawling onto this stool and just staring at it in awe. :)

We celebrating John's birthday early with his family!  He left for a work trip on his actual birthday, but I still sang to him with a piece of cake before he left. ;)

And here are some random photos from the rest of the week and our visit with John's fam!

I am so thankful for my precious family and our abundance of blessings!
