Perry's Fruity 1st Birthday Party

We celebrated Perry turning one a few days early with a sweet, fruit-themed party on June 24th!  Fruit seemed like an appropriate theme since 1) Perry loves fruit and 2) we love fruit names in our family and play it up whenever we can (Perry = Pear and Georgia = Peach). :)

Candace Parker (the sister of one of my sister's best friends) made Perry's precious invitations!

I had a blast planning, cooking, and decorating!  Fruit balloons, a high chair banner, and a fruit banner were the main decor.  I made fruit cups, cupcakes that looked like watermelons, and watermelons on a stick.  We ordered a tray of nuggets from Chick-fil-a, and Sharon made a yummy cheese dip.  John made a delicious sangria!  To round out the food, I ordered these precious fruit-shaped sugar cookies from this girl I found through the Morris girls.  She did an amazing job!  They were adorable!  We had some out on a tray to eat, and some wrapped up for people to take home as favors.

Perry wasn't so sure about everyone singing her happy birthday OR of her cupcake.  She had fun making a mess, but didn't eat even one bite. :)

We felt so loved with all of our family and close friends in the room!

It was the perfect day celebrating our Pear!!
