Life lately...

Oops - it's been 2 months since I've blogged!  It's about time I post some updates, but mainly just some cute pictures of Perry. :)  Here's what we've been up to the last couple of months, as told in pictures...

John went on a 16-day work trip to Australia a couple of weeks after we moved.  Perry and I managed to pass the time, but were so happy when daddy came home!

We also went to Blessington Farms to pick blueberries while daddy was away!

We had a wonderful Lodde family vacation to San Antonio (I'll recap that in a different post)!

John and I had a staycation at a hotel downtown, while Perry had a fun girls sleepover at Mumsie and Popsie's house!

We celebrated Memorial Day!

It's been a fun-filled couple months that have flown by fast than I could have imagined.  We've been in our new house for TWO months, and we are less than TWO months away from meeting our newest little one!  We can hardly believe it!  We have more fun planned in the coming weeks before meeting baby #2 and plan to soak up this time as a family of 3...before life changes as we know it! :)

Goodbye, Rosebay! Hello, Blue Holly!!

Last week we left our beloved Rosebay Drive for a new adventure on Blue Holly!  We officially made the move out to the 'burbs!  We are so excited to start this new chapter.  Not only will we be living in a newer, bigger house in a great family community, but we will be living 7 houses away from my sister and her fam!! :)  All of the excitement does not come without a sense of nostalgia for what we're leaving behind.  We loved our house, our neighbors, our friends, and our area.  It was John and I's first home together and the house we brought our daughter home to.  But we know this is the right choice for our family and are ready for new adventures ahead!

...but the best part is that these precious cousins can grow up together.  This picture makes me smile! :)

Easter recap

Happy Easter!  We had an eventful Easter weekend! 

On Friday we went to the annual Boudreaux Good Friday crawfish boil!  It was a blast, as always.  We look forward to it every year because it's a rare chance where that entire group of friends gets together.  This year we had 3 new marriages in the group, an extra baby, and an extra bump!

On Saturday we celebrated the wedding of my friend Rivers!  It was a beautiful wedding, and it was fun to spend time with these friends and see some old friends, too!

Today was Easter, of course!  We went to church and then went to my parents house for Easter baskets, brunch, Easter egg hunting, and swimming.  It was a perfect day!  We didn't get one single decent picture of the Lodde 3 because Perry is in a difficult picture phase, but we had a wonderful day celebrating our Savior's resurrection, which is what really matters!
