What a wonderful Christmas we had!
On the 23rd, we went to my Aunt Pam's house and visited with my mom's side of the family. We hadn't done that in years, so it was special!
We spent Christmas Eve at my parents' house, and as per usual, it was such a fun day!! We did some cookie decorating, eating, church-ing, gingerbread house making, and present opening. Poor Reid was sick, so he and Chris had to join us after church. We squeezed lots of fun into one day! It is truly magical to experience Christmas with little kids! :)
These two pictures are not from Christmas, but they're cute and Christmassy :)
When we got home from Mumsie and Popsie's house, Perry enjoyed putting cookies and milk out for Santa, and reindeer food and carrots out for the reindeer. This is the first year she has semi-understood the whole Christmas thing, and she continually talked about Jesus's birthday and Santa coming, so it was fun to start this tradition with her this year.
When the kids were in bed, Santa came!
Christmas Day was spent at home just the four of us! It's the first time we've done this (not gone anywhere on Christmas Day), and we loved it! We were leaving town the next day, so it was nice to have a day at home to play with the kids, stay in our jammies all day, and pack pack pack. John made monkey bread for breakfast, the kids slowly opened presents throughout the day, Mumsie and Popsie stopped by to see what Santa brought, and we just enjoyed a slow day! These were the only pictures I took.
The next day, we were off the Milwaukee for a week! The kids did pretty well on the plane ride. A MAJOR perk of having a husband who travels...we got free upgrades to first class! Perry was riding in style. ;)
We celebrated Christmas with John's family by opening presents that night when we arrived, and then Grandma Lodde and Aunt Barb came over the following night for dinner.
The next day, it snowed!! Perry loooooved playing in the snow!!
The rest of the week involved playing at the house with a few fun outings sprinkled in!
It was the Merriest of Christmases!
